Walk further through the rue Francois Miron to the Saint Gervais church south to the Seine where you find a small parc. You can go on, pass by Notre Dame and shop for books at Shakespeare & Co. or Un regard moderne in the Latin Quarter.

Ménilmontant

Belleville

friday : walk from Metro République towards the canal Saint Martin. You may sit down here in the sun, or in one of the numerous cafés. walk by the hospital Saint Louis, through the rue Sainte Marthe towards Belleville on your right. Go shopping in the chinese shops or and the Belleville Market (on fridays) take a rest in one of the bars. You may walk back through the nice rue du Faubourg du Temple.

Montreuil

saturday, sunday or monday : After a trip to the Montreuil Flea Market you may want to visit the Château de Vincennes or the forest of Vincennes.

Pantin/Mouzaïa

Start a bike trip from République, following the Canal Saint Martin on its left side until Jaurès, then switch sides and cross the Parc de la Villette until Pantin. Go back to Paris by metro or cross Le Pré Saint Gervais or Porte de Pantin to get back to the nice 19th quarter. Finish the day in or around the Parc des Buttes Chaumont.
